South Asian wedding photography with the energy, color, and family fully seen.
South Asian weddings move with their own rhythm. Multiple days. Multiple outfits. Family everywhere. Traditions that matter. Moments happening in every direction.
I love photographing them because they ask a photographer to pay attention to everything: color, timing, emotion, ceremony, movement, and the people who make the day what it is.
I know how much is happening. I also know what cannot be missed.
Mehndi. Sangeet. Haldi. Baraat. Ceremony. Reception. Vidaai. Every wedding is different, but the responsibility is the same: understand the flow, anticipate what is coming, and photograph the story without turning the day into a production.
The color matters. The traditions matter. The timing matters. Knowing when to step in and when to get out of the way matters even more.
What I’m watching for
- The scale and color of the celebration
- Parents and grandparents reacting quietly
- Ceremony moments that cannot be repeated
- Baraat energy and reception chaos
- Portraits that feel elevated without becoming stiff
- The small emotional pieces between the big scheduled events
